In Canada, not many people know that it is okay to use a hardwood steam cleaner. Hardwood floors are tricky to take care of and not many ways to clean them can leave them clean and shining. If you have ever used a bucket and mop on hardwood floors you know it leaves streaks behind and the mop head needs to be rid of almost dry or the water left behind will damage the floors. I tried using my Eurosteam® XVapor steam cleaner as a hardwood steam cleaner.

The Eurosteam® XVapor is portable and on wheels so moving it along the floor is no effort at all. I just move the floor brush along the floor, back and forth and keep an eye on how wet the cloth is. As soon as I see moisture I change the cloth on the floor brush and keep going. My hardwood steam cleaning removes all dirt, sticky messes, dog foot prints and leave my floor shining and sanitized killing 99.9% of germs and bacteria, with no chemical residue left behind.

The XVapor steam cleaner comes with extension tubes and a floor brush with cloths that attach to the floor brush to protect the finish on the hardwood. The floor brush is attaches to the extension tubes using the adapter that is in the onboard tool caddy. To attach the floor cloth, simply use the clips on either side of the floor brush to secure it in place. Hardwood steam cleaning does need you to have several cloths on hand as the cloth gets wet with steam you will need to change out the floor brush cloths. You can use any cloths that you have at home that fit; I use hand towels and old tea towel.
