How many Canadians ever properly clean their barbeque grills? Grill cleaning chemicals are not the answer, they pollute the environment and I don’t want to ingest any of it. In the past I have used a scrub brush and hot soapy water and scrubbed endlessly. Not today, today I am going to use the Eurosteam® XVapor 1500 high pressure steam cleaner.

I lay a tarp out in the yard and place my 2 grills on it. They are covered in cooked on, sticky gunk that really cannot be good for us to cook on. I decided to use the metal round detail brush to start and with the high pressure steam up to high I blasted that grease and gunk right off. I did use slight pressure on the brush but for the most part the steam did the all of the work. For the little areas where the grill meets the frame I used just the detail nozzle and it got into the tight spaces. As an area was clean I wiped it with a damp rag to get any debris off.

Cleaning the grills with steam killed 99.9% of all of the bacteria and germs that had cooked onto the grill over the last while. It took me some time as the grills were really dirty but now I am going to get out my portable Eurosteam® XVapor 1500 steam cleaner once a week and quickly clean off just a few days of grilling. Next time I travel to the lake my portable high pressure steam cleaner is coming with me to get those grills super clean.
