Canada has come through another winter and we are about to welcome the warm weather that summer will bring. I don’t know about you but I can’t live without a good fan to beat the summer heat, anything to make air move! I found a fan at a garage sale, it was filthy but the $4.00 price tag fit my budget. I knew that I had my Eurosteam® XVapor 1500 steam cleaner at home and it would help me save this fan so the heat wouldn’t win!

In order to really steam clean this budget beauty I took the whole thing apart, really only needed a screw driver to get that done. I laid out all of the parts and started using my Eurosteam® XVapor on each piece, using a few different attachments that were all included with my steam cleaner. I used the detail nozzle for the slats on the front and back of the fan and the detail brush for the blades as well as the squeegee to clean the metal frame.

It is such a satisfying feeling to watch all the dirt and grime just let go and get wiped away. In less than 30 minutes I had cleaned it all inside and out and it was left to dry. I know that by using the power of steam to clean I had gotten rid of all of the germs, bacteria and dirt that came to live on that $4.00 fan; they were all gone and I have the perfect fan that is new to me, and now looks like new, ready to keep me cool all summer long.
